Test Description – Junior Web Developer & Web Development Intern

 

This online test is designed to assess a candidate’s fundamental programming skills, problem-solving ability, system understanding, and readiness to work on real-world web applications.

The test evaluates whether a candidate can think in flows, write logical solutions, understand frontend–backend interaction, and debug common issues, which are essential for building scalable learning platforms.

 

Who Should Take This Test

  • Candidates applying for Junior Web Developer roles
  • Candidates applying for Web Development Intern roles

 

Test Format

  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Mode: Online (on the AJs Chalo Seekhen website)

 

Type of Questions:

  • Logical and programming-based questions
  • Frontend and backend concept questions
  • API flow and data handling questions
  • Debugging and problem-solving scenarios
  • Short descriptive answers and code/pseudocode snippets

 

Skills Being Assessed

  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge of React / frontend state handling
  • Understanding of backend APIs and request–response flow
  • Logical thinking and debugging approach
  • Ability to break problems into clear steps
  • Learning mindset and ownership of tasks

 

Evaluation Criteria

Candidates will be evaluated on:

  • Clarity of thought and correctness of logic
  • Ability to explain how systems work end-to-end
  • Practical problem-solving approach (not memorization)
  • Readiness to learn and work independently

 

Shortlisting Process

  • All candidates will participate in the Group Discussion (GD).
  • GD performance will be evaluated along with test scores.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews based on the combined score of:
    • Online test performance
    • Group discussion evaluation

Final Selection

  • Final selection will be based on:
    • Test performance
    • Group discussion performance
    • Interview evaluation
